Scope
This Privacy Policy covers MackSims LLC and MackSims beta products distributed on the web, Apple App Store, and Google Play, including ShutterBid, FishCrew, MomentPick, PrimFit, CurbCue (formerly FairShare), MotoCrew (formerly ThrottleLink), CoachCore, Sermon Studio, Aegis Intel, public websites, test builds, and related preview apps. These products are still evolving, so this policy describes the types of data the ecosystem may collect without claiming that every feature is live in every app. Product-specific pages (for example primfit.macksims.com/privacy) add details for that app.
Information we may collect
Depending on the app and feature, MackSims may collect account information, profile details, usernames, email addresses, app role selections, uploaded content, support messages, diagnostics, device/browser details, crash logs, approximate usage activity, and permissions you choose to grant.
Uploaded content and profiles
Apps such as ShutterBid and FishCrew may allow users to create profiles, post content, upload photos, submit listings, share feedback, or participate in marketplace/community workflows. Do not upload private, sensitive, or confidential content unless you are comfortable sharing it with the intended product workflow.
Permissions
Some beta apps may request access to features such as camera, photos, location, notifications, or contacts only when a related feature requires it. If a permission is not fully wired yet, the app may show preview or mock behavior instead of production behavior.
How we use information
We use information to operate the apps, provide support, improve reliability, test beta features, protect users, moderate abuse, troubleshoot bugs, and prepare products for public release.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information and do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA. We may use service providers for hosting, authentication, analytics, app distribution, support, security, and infrastructure. User content may be visible to other users when a feature is designed for public, marketplace, or community sharing.
Retention and deletion
You may request account deletion or data removal at account deletion. After we verify a request, we aim to delete live cloud account data within 30 days. Encrypted backups may retain residual copies until purged on rotation within about 90 days. Some records may be retained when needed for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, dispute, or platform-integrity reasons.
Local-first products, location, and optional email
Some apps (including PrimFit and the Curbcue demo) store plans, trips, or intro requests in on-device storage rather than a MackSims cloud account. Optional geolocation is used only when you turn a location feature on. Optional email on a PrimFit intro request is saved locally in this version and is not sold. FishCrew captain tools may open your device SMS composer so you can text a lead yourself; MackSims does not send automated marketing texts in current builds.
Health and fitness
Consumer fitness, nutrition, or coaching templates are general wellness tools, not medical advice and not a HIPAA covered-entity service. We do not claim HIPAA compliance. Do not upload real student or patient health records into beta coaching products.
Cookies, local storage, and Do Not Track
We use essential cookies and local storage to run sites and apps. We do not use non-essential advertising cookies and do not run advertising SDKs in current product inventories. We do not currently alter behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals because we do not use third-party ads or cross-site tracking pixels. Hosts (Netlify, Vercel) and auth/database providers may process technical logs.
If we send commercial email, we identify MackSims, include a valid postal address, and honor opt-out requests (CAN-SPAM). Unsubscribe does not automatically opt you out of SMS; current products do not send automated SMS marketing.
EU / UK
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, MackSims LLC is the controller. Typical lawful bases are the service you request, legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, answering support), and consent for optional location, optional email, or optional sign-in. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability, and you may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. We have not appointed an EU/UK representative or DPO at this time. Transfers are to the United States, relying on vendor transfer tools such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
California / US state rights
California and certain other US state residents may request to know, delete, or correct personal information, subject to verification and legal exceptions. Email privacy@macksims.com with subject “Privacy Request.” We do not sell or share personal information as described above. Appeal denials with subject “Privacy Appeal.” CalOPPA-style notices: categories of information are listed above; we do not honor DNT as a separate protocol beyond the practices in this policy.
Children
MackSims products listed on the App Store and Google Play are for ages 13 and up and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child provided data and we will delete it.
Store privacy labels
Apple App Privacy nutrition labels and Google Play Data Safety forms must match actual collection (often none beyond device-local data plus optional email or account when you sign in). Those consoles are filled by the owner before production submit.
Security
We use HTTPS. If a breach of covered personal information requires notice under Florida’s Information Protection Act or other law, we will notify as required.
